Three Classes. One Goal. The United Sportscar R/C Racing Championship is the first R/C racing event of its kind that will pit three different classes of cars all against each other at the same time! The event will take place November 9, 2014 at The Track at Harbor Hobbies 1225 Sheridan Rd. Winthrop Harbor, IL 60096 The premise is simple. The event will begin like an ordinary R/C race. Each class will compete in two rounds of qualifying and one main. After all three classes have completed they're respected mains, the top four drivers from each classes A & B Mains that have shown they have the patience and skill to continue, will compete in one of two finale races called the "Harbor Grand Prix". The "A" Main Grand Prix will be 12 minutes long, the "B" Main will be 10 minutes. Racers will be competing for awards in they're individual class, as well as a single overall winner for the Grand Prix. This event will introduce a fun twist on a popular touring car class. Prototypes! This class utilizes the same rules used in traditional Stock 17.5 Touring Car classes, the only change being the use of McAllister Daytona Prototype bodies instead of the typical touring car bodies! The three classes competing were picked not only because they mimic the look and feel of real multi-class endurance series like IMSA or Le Mans, but they're typical lap times are fairly similar on the carpet track! This should make for close, competitive racing across the board! Race Format: 2 Qualifiers - 6 Min. Each 1 Main - 8 Min. "Harbor Grand Prix B Main" - 10 Min. "Harbor Grand Prix A Main" - 12 Min. The competing classes are: 1.) USGT -Chassis Specification: Any 1/10 4wd with 4 wheel independent suspension. -Weight Specification: 1450g weight -Body Specifications: Any 190mm or 200mm "GT or Street" body. Body can be any body that is NOT on the ROAR T2 body list. 1/12, 1/8, & truck bodies are not allowed Any "SCALE" molded wings can be used. Lexan wings 10mm maximum height / side dam height Scale type race liveries encouraged -Tire & Wheel Specifications: Tires - Gravity RC USGT Pre-glued Spoke Rim Grinding of tire tread is NOT permitted. Sanding of mold seam to remove seam is allowed Wheels - Any 24 or 26mm spoke (non-dish) type wheel -Ride Height Specification: Minimum ride height is 5mm. -Motor Specifications: ROAR approved 21.5, No tuning rotors, must use OEM rotor 12.3-12.5mm -Approved ESCs: “Blinky” ESC ROAR approved spec software -Battery Specifications: ROAR approved hard case batteries --------------------------------- 2.) Speed Passion LM-1 Le Mans -Chassis Specification: Speed Passion LM-1 Chassis Only. -Weight Specification: 1200g weight -Body Specifications: Only LMP, Group C, GTP, GT1, Can Am bodies are allowed. Scale type race liveries encouraged. If the body comes with molded in kick up at rear, must be cut out to resemble separate wing as on full scale car. If body come with separate wing, must be mounted in same location as full scale car. No oval or TC style wings allowed. -Tire & Wheel Specifications: Stock Speed Passion LM Wheel and tires. McAllister Prototypes -Chassis Specification: Any 1/10 4wd with 4 wheel independent suspension. -Weight Specification: 1380g weight minimum -Body Specifications: McAllister Daytona Prototype Bodies Only. #297 - Riley Daytona Prototype #289 - Corvette Daytona Prototype #255 - MX-P Daytona Prototype #212 - Wildcat 3 Body If the body comes with molded in kick up at rear, must be cut out to resemble separate wing as on full scale car.
